Just 1 day to left to have your gift DOUBLED! Help us reach our Back to School, Back to the Farmers Market match challenge by August 20 |

Greetings!
Since we wrote to you on Tuesday, San Francisco kids are ending their fourth day back in the classroom, and we’ve raised $1,675 to bring students Back to School, Back to the Farmers Market. Thank you to everyone who has already donated so far in support of Foodwise Kids and Foodwise Teens!
Your gift helps students like tenth-grader Azucena blossom and grow through meaningful food, learning, and job experiences at the farmers market, after the last 18 months of social isolation: “I’m a very face-to-face person. Emailing teachers has been terrible. I’m very good at speaking to people. That’s my strong point. I haven’t been able to do that, and that’s been really hard,” she says. “I can’t stress this enough that the farmers market was so amazing. I learned something, and I felt like a bright new pupil. I got a good feeling. I don’t know how to explain, but I get this feeling a lot when I’m eating really healthy, just feeling clean and positive, like good things are gonna happen.”
As students are going back to the classroom, we need to raise $40,000 by August 31 to meet the demand for our free youth education programs, which serve 2,500 SFUSD students each year. Whether you give $10 or $100, your donation will make a difference. You can help get us to our goal—and have your gift DOUBLED through this Friday, August 20. Thank you! |

P.S. Does your employer offer matching gifts on charitable contributions? Your gift will go twice as far! Donate now.
Your donation is tax-deductible and will make a difference! For other ways to donate, such as through a Donor Advised Fund (DAF), contact: cindy@cuesa.org. |
