Retrotope's lead candidate missed the primary endpoint in a late-stage trial of patients with an ultrarare and fatal genetic disease called infantile neuroaxonal dystrophy. Dengue pill backed by J&J shows potency against the virus and all known variants in mice

An oral dengue drug developed by Johnson & Johnson's Janssen unit and a Belgian team was effective in mouse models, drastically lowering the number of virus particles in the animals' blood within 24 hours of treatment, the researchers reported. J&J is moving the program into clinical development.
