AstraZeneca gets $486M to test if COVID-19 antibodies can provide 12 months of protection

AstraZeneca has secured $486 million from the U.S. government to fund two phase 3 clinical trials of its anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody cocktail AZD7442. Gilead posts full ulcerative colitis data for JAK med filgotinib

Two months after Gilead’s JAK inhibitor hit an FDA roadblock in rheumatoid arthritis, the company unveiled full data for the drug, filgotinib, from an ulcerative colitis study involving more than 1,300 patients. Gilead detailed the rates of various side effects, including serious infections, herpes zoster, pulmonary embolism and opportunistic infections.

Priothera raises €30M to trial ex-Novartis' S1P drug in AML

Priothera has raised €30 million ($35 million) to fund clinical trials of a S1P receptor modulate once in development at Novartis. The drug, mocravimod, will undergo testing in high-risk acute myeloid leukemia patients who are undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
