10 arrested after huge brawl at Baton Rouge school

A fight at a Baton Rouge alternative school Wednesday soon turned into a campus-wide melee involving potentially hundreds of people, the sheriff's office said. 

A BRPD officer was hospitalized with a broken hip, officials said, and 10 people were arrested. Here's what we know.


In a lawsuit over unpaid vacation time, the East Baton Rouge Public Defender's Office agreed to pay a $167,384 settlement — but it failed to pay the first installment on time, the plaintiffs claim in new court motions.
