GLOBAL: Bizzabo, an event success platform for virtual, hybrid and in-person events, is kicking off its European expansion with a new London office. Operations there will be led by event industry veteran Tim Bull. Bizzabo recently acquired both x.ai, a scheduling tool, and Whalebone, which enhances virtual meeting technology, to assist in the creation of the new office, which is now the company’s fourth global location. CHEROKEE, NC: Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort is set to finish its four-year expansion this fall. The 19-story tower will feature 725 rooms, an 83,000-square-foot convention space, a 50-seat lobby bar and lounge, and more. CHICAGO: The Chicago Auto Show is set to return to McCormick Place from July 15-19. The show will feature new outdoor test tracks such as the Ford Built Wild, as well as returning indoor test tracks Camp Jeep and Ram Truck Territory. The Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA), which is producing the show, will introduce an outdoor street fest including the latest vehicles plus food trucks and live music. LOS ANGELES: The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation (ETAF) will host a fundraising gala, The Elizabeth Taylor Ball to End AIDS, on Sept. 17 at West Hollywood Park. The gala will include a dinner for 350 guests, a live auction partnering with Christie’s featuring unique art pieces, a live performance and dancing. SAN DIEGO: Tickets are now on sale for the San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival. The event will feature a Grand Tasting, San Diego and Baja’s most celebrated chefs, wineries and breweries from all over the world, and live entertainment.
