NATIONAL: Event interpretation company Interprefy has launched new live captioning abilities for multilingual meetings and conferences. Complementing Interprefy's sign language offering, Interprefy Captions are available in 31 languages and have been designed as a visual aid for users to follow speech through translated subtitles, with real-time interpretation from professional conference interpreters transcribed into live captions using AI-powered Automated Speech Recognition technology.

On Oct. 5, the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation will present the 46th Annual Gracie Awards, celebrating women in the industry who continue to inspire and support others and break down barriers. The event will stream exclusively on the alliance’s Facebook page and will be hosted by actress and comedian Lauren Ash. This year's winners include Taylor Swift, Robin Roberts, Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, Kelly Clarkson, Kerry Washington and more, and CeCe Winans and Jewel will perform.

The American Rental Association (ARA) has launched a mobile version of its online rental store locator. The RentalHQ app features easy-to-use search functions with fields for equipment type and location; searches deliver a list of local ARA-member rental partners carrying the rental item—such as chairs, linens, tents, servingware and more—with a mapped location, contact information and a website link for each store.

ATLANTA: The Westin Atlanta Airport has completed a full renovation to its 500 guest rooms. The property, a popular spot for groups and business travelers, has 22,290 square feet of event space spread across 26 rooms. The newly redesigned grand ballroom holds 800 people.

RENO, NEV: Wild West Vet, a four-day educational veterinary conference, will take place Oct. 6-9 at the Grand Sierra Resort. The event provides training, product demos and networking opportunities for veterinarians, veterinary technicians, practice managers and other veterinary professionals.
