Style-wise, I have a favorite season: spring. While experiencing the first hints of warmer weather last week, I rolled down my car’s windows, basked in the sun’s rays, and dove head-first into my bins full of spring clothing. Here are 10 pieces—all of which are either from my closet or at the top of my “purchase next” wish list—that you should add to your wardrobe, starting at $13. Kate Spade Spade Flower Jacquard Flap Crossbody: I’ve treated myself to many Kate Spade bags over the years, and this on-sale floral purse is my next Amazon purchase. It fits my wallet, iPhone, and keys—with room to spare—and the crossbody style makes it even more versatile and easy to carry when I’m running errands. Target Universal Thread Linen Mini Sundress: No one will ever believe you scored this dress from Target for only $25. The pretty pattern, breezy cotton-blend fabric, flattering smocked waistline, and key-hole back are the standout features that make it ideal for special occasions like Easter and bridal and baby showers. Dick’s Sporting Goods Adidas Handball Spezial Shoes: I have high arches and am prone to plantar fasciitis, so my Adidas sneakers have become my go-to pair for casual wear. I’m a huge fan of the brand’s Handball Spezial style, and I can’t get over this fun pink shade. I recommend sizing down by half a size and snapping these up ASAP because they’ll sell out. Target A New Day Nina Slide Sandals: Target sandals are my holy grail because they’re consistently the most comfortable options in my closet. I’m eyeing this classic Nina slide that I can easily wear with shorts, dresses, and jeans throughout spring and summer. J.Crew Elena Mini Shirtdress: Almost everything at J.Crew is timeless, including this mini shirtdress that will look as cute with sandals as it will with your favorite pair of white sneakers. Old Navy SoSoft Lite Pointelle Cardigan: My first purchase of the season was this cardigan. It’s ultra-lightweight, so it acts as an excellent layer during early spring, and it’s a piece I’ll reach for on chillier summer nights. The scallops on the placket and neckline are a subtle but impactful detail. Target Future Collective Cropped Chore Jacket: Classic chore and barn jackets are trending this year, and I think this cropped style is cute and practical for spring. The large collar, double front pockets, and buttons are sure to attract compliments every time you wear the $45 piece. Quince European Linen Scoop-Neck Midi Dress: How pretty is this dress? It’s an option you can wear to special events, for date night, and on vacation. Plus, it’s breezy and comfy thanks to the 100 percent European linen fabric. The floral waterfall pattern is my pick, but there are a total of 11 solid colors and patterns to choose from. Spanx Stretch Twill Cropped Pants: White pants are a spring and summer must (don’t believe those outdated style rules), and this Spanx version is one of my most-worn pairs. The ankle length is ideal for warmer weather, and this pair looks cute with sandals, sneakers, or wedges. Just make sure to size up by one full size because these pants run small. Old Navy Long-Sleeve Mariner Loose T-Shirt: Light layers are key for spring as temperatures rise, and you can’t go wrong with a $13 striped oversized T-shirt from Old Navy. Pick up a few (there are five color options) to wear with shorts, jeans, or chinos. Is there any better way to celebrate the season than with a wardrobe update? While they’re in stock, score what will soon become your new favorite pieces from Target, Quince, J.Crew, Old Navy, and more. |
