Grammy winner, Brazilian Jazz singer, and composerLuciana Souza returns to Celebrity Series with The Book of Longing, her critically-acclaimed new poetry-inspired album. Luciana has paid tribute to poets and poetry in many of her previous projects and recordings. For The Book of Longing, Luciana set poems by Leonard Cohen, Octavio Paz, and others.
Jazz legends, the Yellowjackets, will join Luciana for an exciting double-bill. The Yellowjackets recently released a new album called Raising Our Voice in collaboration with Luciana, which has been creating a new buzz for the group. Don't miss this exciting night of jazz, Brazil, and poetry!
