Giving Tuesday is more important than ever as 29% of the state’s nonprofits said they might not last the year without additional funding. Greenville nonprofits may have it a little better than other parts of the state, but United Way of Greenville County's Meghan Barp says they still face an "impending crisis."
Gibbs Cancer Center is using a grant from the Duke Endowment to improve access to medical care in Cherokee and Union counties. The center also will use the $584,000 grant to provide screenings and early detection education.
