AbbVie doubles down on Harpoon with $50M option on BCMA drug

AbbVie and Harpoon Therapeutics inked a $50 million licensing deal for the latter’s BCMA-targeting multiple myeloma candidate and added up to six new targets to a discovery deal inked in October 2017. Harpoon will collect another $50 million when it starts a phase 1/2 trial and stands to pick up $510 million in total.

Immunitas snags $39M to bring new I-O approach to the clinic

Immunitas Therapeutics is launching with $39 million in series A financing to propel at least one monoclonal antibody into the clinic. Its platform uses single-cell genomic sequencing to “dissect” the tumor microenvironment and uncover new drug targets to create new targeted immune-oncology medicines.
