NATIONAL: Voting is now open for BizBash’s People’s Choice Awards, part of our 2020 Event Style Awards powered by MeetingPlay. Click here to cast your votes in five different categories. 

LOS ANGELES: The Pasadena Tournament of Roses, which annually hosts the Rose Parade on New Year’s Day, has announced details on programming for the Honda-sponsored event. Highlights will include a celebration of doctors and nurses, a floral sculpture honoring organ and tissue donors, a float from Dole focused on sustainable nutrition, and more. The parade will air on ABC, Hallmark Channel, and others.

ORLANDO/CENTRAL FLORIDA: Museum of Illusions Orlando opens on Jan. 9, 2021. Located on International Drive at ICON Park, the new museum is the first Florida outpost of the international brand, which offers interactive and immersive exhibits based on math, science, and psychology.

PHILADELPHIA: Live and digital experiential marketing agency Sparks has promoted Kristy Elisano to the role of chief marketing officer. Elisano has worked at Sparks for 18 years, most recently in the role of senior vice president of marketing and business development.

WASHINGTON, DC: The Ven at Embassy Row, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts, opens in Dupont Circle in January. The 231-room property features three flexible meeting spaces that can host intimate gatherings of up to 25 people. In the spring, The Ven will open a rooftop pool and bar, plus a full-service restaurant.
