Latest forecast I was visiting my neighborhood Target and noticed the hand sanitizer shelves empty. I understand the need to “stock up” but I suspect a bit of hoarding is going on. How should you prepare? Emergency preparedness folks say prepare like you would for any emergency, such as weather, where you may be limited in carrying out your usual routine. That means making sure you have sufficient medications, baby supplies, pet food, etc. And, pick up a few extra canned goods. But above all, wash your hands thoroughly and often, and stay home if you’re sick. I know it’s a pain to anchor furniture to the wall, but if you have children, especially under the age of 6, in your home, you need to take a look at dressers, bookcases, etc. and make sure they are super secure. Children can be dangerously resourceful, opening the drawers to use as steps to reach something. Anchor kits are easy to find and cheap.
