It’s been a busy week- from concerns about the spread of COVID-19 /www.ksat.com/topic/coronavirus> to event cancellations to the tanking stock market , it’s a lot to deal with. Yesterday, I spoke with the CEO of Remedy about the rise in telemedicine . He said they are seeing an uptick in calls as people want to avoid walking into a waiting room of germs. And, sick people are supposed to stay home, anyway. It’s certainly a viable alternative in a lot of instances, and consumers have a lot of ways to visit with a doctor from the comfort of their own home. Check with your personal doctor first. He or she may offer virtual visits. Something I was wondering about – what’s the best way to clean your phone ? They are germ magnets, for sure. I was leery of wiping it down with disinfectant. But, Apple added more instructions on its website this week, saying you can use things like Clorox Wipes. Just don’t spray phones and get liquid in them. On another subject – a heads up about some of those “FREE TRIAL ” offers. Some are legit, but others? Well, some are designed to trick you into enrolling in a program that dings your credit card every month. How to avoid new coronavirus scams There will be plenty of changing plans in the weeks ahead, so hang in there and wash your hands.
