Taxi operator 13cabs has introduced a new Quick Ride service enabling passengers using Apple Pay to "digitally hail" a ride with their iPhone.

Fujitsu has launched its first Digital Transformation Centre (DTC) in Australia, with the new facility located at the Macquarie University campus in Sydney.

Malaysian mobile carrier Maxis has signed an agreement with Huawei for its 5G rollout. The agreement was signed in Putrajaya by Maxis CEO Gokhan Ogut and Huawei Technologies Malaysia CEO Michael Yuan.

Global payments platform Finablr and Samsung Electronics America have launched a Money Transfer feature in Samsung Pay, whereby users in the US can send money to people in 47 other countries. At the moment, the feature is available within the US, but there are plans to extend it to other countries next year.
