LAS VEGAS: Ahead of its June 24 opening, Resorts World Las Vegas has achieved Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR accreditation. As the gold star standard for facility preparedness, the resort has verified that it employs strict cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention, and it is prepared to respond to and recover from health outbreaks such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa is opening Crimson at Knight on May 7, an experiential pop-up in collaboration with the Vegas Golden Knights. The immersive game-viewing experience gives fans a fun indoor-outdoor atmosphere to cheer on the home team with playful photo ops, games, a live DJ and plenty of food and beverage options. Crimson at Knight will be open for guests over 21 years of age every Friday and Saturday starting at 6 p.m.

CHICAGO: Long Grove’s annual For the Love of Chocolate event is taking place on a smaller scale this year from May 14-16. The event is kicking off with a Chocolate Preview Party, where guests will receive a swag bag, apparel and a private concert. New attractions have been added such as a Chocolate Expo along with Chocolate Experience Tents, and attendees can expect activities for kids, a live entertainment lineup and a host of chocolate vendors to try. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available on Long Grove’s website.

NEW YORK: The Wilson at INNSide New York debuted its Rose Garden, a floral urban escape, on April 29. Located in the heart of NoMad, the garden and restaurant are offering brunch, dinner and dessert menus, plus a happy hour with oyster and drink specials. Guests will dine in one of two covered outdoor spaces equipped with overhead heating lamps. The Rose Garden will be open Thursday-Friday from 5 -9 p.m., on Saturdays 12-9 p.m. and on Sundays 12-4 p.m.

The Museum of the City of New York is reimagining its annual spring gala this year as a safe, intimate outdoor event taking place on June 9. This year's event, dubbed Spring Gala: Music of the '80s, will feature dinner, live performances and a preview of the museum’s upcoming exhibit, “New York, New York Music: 1980-1986.” Special guests include Cyndi Lauper and LL Cool J, and an accompanying virtual experience will be open to the public. The spring gala serves as one of the largest annual fundraisers for the museum’s exhibitions and public and educational programs, which serve over 50,000 students and teachers throughout New
York City.
