Three years after substantial restrictions on onsite dining, those restrictions are pretty much expected to disappear. However, some of the social and cultural changes that the pandemic experience accelerated seem to be here to stay, affecting onsite dining. K-12 SCHOOLS

Bowl concept emphasizes healthy and craveable choices.

This year, the district rolled out the one-day popup, called Hoke Poke, at its 30-plus high schools. The station allows students to choose their base, protein, toppings and add-ons to create a customized, healthy lunch. Udon noodles, cilantro brown rice, Asian chicken, matchstick carrots and cherry tomatoes have been the top choices system-wide :
