1) GENERAL INFORMATION

The 141^st IOC Session will be held from 15 to 17 October in Mumbai, India, with the Opening Ceremony to be held on the 14^th. It will be preceded by meetings of the IOC Executive Board (EB) on 12, 13 and 14 October. 

The meetings of the Executive Board will take place at the Trident Hotel at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai.  

The IOC Session will take place at the adjacent Jio World Centre (JWC).

2) ACCREDITATION

Accredited media can pick up their accreditations in the Main Media Centre.

3) OPENING HOURS

Main Media Centre (MMC)

The MMC opens at 8 a.m. IST on Thursday 12 October.

There will be a Media Welcome Desk at the MMC for all media enquiries.

Media Accreditation Desk

The Media Accreditation Desk is located close to the Media Entrance in the Jio World Centre (JWC) complex. It opens at 7 a.m. IST on Thursday 12 October.

Media accreditation cards will be distributed only upon presentation of a valid passport or ID.

Important information

1. No weapons are permitted to be flown into India inside luggage or in person (close protection/executive protection teams will not be permitted with weapons).
2. No official/media representative may carry any kind of satellite phone from their originating country.

4) SCHEDULE OF EVENTS 

Please see here for the planned schedule of events for the EB meeting and 141^st IOC Session. Media events are currently planned as follows, and remain subject to change:

12 October - IOC Press Conference – EB Day 1
13 October - IOC President’s press conference – EB Day 2
15 October - IOC Press Conference – Session Day 1
16 October - IOC President’s press conference – Session Day 2

Media representatives who are not in attendance in Mumbai will be able to join the press conferences remotely via Zoom. Please register on this page before the deadline on 11 October at 09:00 CEST.

Please note that, as part of the registration process, we may ask you to provide a press card or a letter from your editor in order for us to accept your registration.

The IOC Session and all press conferences will also be live-streamed on IOC Media YouTube. 

5) MEDIA AT THE EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING

There will be a photocall before the start of the Executive Board meetings on 12, 13 and 14 October. Photographers and ENG camera operators who wish to attend the photocall should register their interest at the Media Welcome Desk in the JWC by 6 p.m. on the day before. For the photocall on 12 October, we will handle requests on a first come, first served basis.

For accepted attendees, please arrive at the Trident Hotel at 8:15 a.m. IST at the latest. 

There will be no interview opportunities at the photocall. 

6) OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 141^st IOC SESSION 

The Opening Ceremony of the 141^st IOC Session will take place in the JWC on the evening of 14 October. There will be a red carpet outside the venue for media opportunities before the Opening Ceremony, and a limited number of positions for media inside the theatre. Further information will be available from the MMC closer to the event, especially with regards to restrictions with the coverage of segments of the opening ceremony.

7) BROADCAST COVERAGE OF THE IOC SESSION  

For the 141^st IOC Session, the IOC has appointed Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) as the host broadcaster and worldwide distributor of the coverage provided by the producer of the event. The international signals will be made available as “Pool Coverage” to participating broadcasters and other bona fide media organisations worldwide via Live Cloud distribution. The international signal will be in high definition with a 16:9 picture ratio, HD 1080i 50Hz.
