This week we are celebrating a pretty big milestone: 15 years of Nutrition Diva. A milestone that Monica certainly didn’t anticipate reaching when we launched this show back in 2008. She was actually concerned she might run out of things to talk about after 50 or 100 episodes. But as we know now, she needn’t have worried.
From the beginning, Nutrition Diva has focused on providing more clarity around some of the murkier areas of nutrition science—debunking nutrition myths, scrutinizing questionable claims, and attempting to put sensational media coverage of nutrition research into perspective. So far, Monica hasn’t run out of myths, questionable claims, or sensational media coverage!
We're celebrating this milestone with several exciting extras. This week, Monica's anniversary episode is breaking down some challenges to the very idea of nutrition science. Today, we're releasing a special bonus interview episode with Mignon (of Grammar Girl) and Laura (of Money Girl) so that die-hard fans can hear about the birth of the network and what it was really like to start a podcast before it was cool.
On our social media channels we are counting down some of Monica's favorite episodes throughout the years, with special notes from Monica about what the episodes mean to her and why she chose them. If you'd like to binge all those episodes at once, here's a playlist.
We are also hosting an exciting giveaway our extra nerdy Nutrition Diva listeners. This week, join host Monica Reinagel in doing one of her favorite things: settling food arguments. Enter your food argument here before August 2nd. And Monica will pick one, give the final verdict, and send a custom audio clip to the winner! Feel free to take that clip and send it to whoever you think needs to hear it and rub it in their face, or simply bask in the glow of being right.
And of course, a special thank you to all our listeners who have stuck with us over the years.
