Federal grant puts $2.5 million toward better graduation rates

United Way of Greenville County will administer $500,000 per year for the next five years, applied to the OnTrack Greenville effort to keep under-resourced youth on the path to graduation and success after high school.

Unemployment claims during the COVID-19 pandemic have topped 600,000 in South Carolina. For the week ending June 13, 19,366 people filed initial unemployment claims in South Carolina, a decrease of 3,368 claims from the previous week

Ross invests $68 million in York County expansion

Ross Stores Inc. is investing $68 million to expand its distribution and warehousing operations in York County in a move expected to create 700 jobs in the next five years. Ross, an off-price apparel and home fashion company has retail operations in more than 1,800 locations in the U.S. and Guam.
