2 killed in drive-by at the mall

with Jennifer Wadsworth | Assistant metro editor

As we enter the final weekend of Carnival, here are our top stories.

Fatal drive-by at the mall

Two people died and two were injured in a drive-by shooting outside the Mall of Louisiana Friday afternoon. Here's what officials and witnesses from the scene told us about what happened.

Arrests in teen girl's murder

Two 20-year-old Hammond men were arrested in the killing of 14-year-old Taysia Folse, whose body was found in a grassy area east of Ponchatoula last summer. Tangipahoa Parish sheriff's officials say evidence from the scene led them to a pair of suspects, one of whom was booked on a first-degree murder count and the other who's accused of being a key accomplice in the crime.

Parades peak, go pink

The final weekend leading up to Fat Tuesday is a big one for Carnival parades in the Baton Rouge area. Here's a look at what festivities are taking place in the capital region over the next few days.

Enjoy your weekend and have a great Mardi Gras.
