with Jennifer Wadsworth | Assistant metro editorGood morning. Here's some of what we've covered in the past day … Shootings off Plank RoadTwo people were shot off of Plank Road Thursday evening — one sustained life-threatening injuries, BRPD told us. When our reporter Elyse Carmosino arrived to the scene, neighbors told her they heard more than a dozen shots fired. Here's what we know about what happened. 'We're all calling him a hero'The victim of another shooting — this one at a bar over the weekend in Erwinville — was memorialized Wednesday in a service that drew friends, family and others in the small, tight-knit community. They remembered Trey Allen, who was 21, as a beloved baseball coach, a skilled hunter and "kind-hearted country boy." Elyse Carmosino covered the service, which you can read about here. James Finn has the story. Thanks for reading! |
