Hi Achternaam, As we roll into fall, I’m looking back at my garden this year and making notes. Two things stand out to me. Number one…I over-planted tomatoes this year! LOL. I’ve got enough tomatoes canned for a long, long time. And the frost has not hit yet, so I’m giving them away. I brought a cooler full to church last weekend and got rid of a bunch. Last week, I brought a box to a Dr. appointment (the whole office was thrilled). But guess what I’ve got simmering on the stove as I write this? Yes, another stockpot full of tomatoes. I simply can’t let them go to waste. Number two…plant more flowers! Sometimes I am so efficient and practical, I forget to include the beauty in life! I plant a few marigolds in strategic places for beneficial bug attraction or deterrent…but far less than I should. I must remember to dedicate some space to simply the beautiful. (And honestly, it does attract bees, so it can still be considered practical!) What are you remembering about your summer this year? Can You Use Bouillon in Home Canned Stock? - New Canning Chat!
