The Landscape
Forbes' list of "America's Best Startup Employers 2022" ranks 500 employers based on employer reputation, employee satisfaction and growth. One example is cloud security company Lacework, which built a "culture of transparency" by soliciting employee feedback as early as a month into employment.

The pandemic's impact on America's innovation landscape is "overstated," Florida writes, but adds that venture capital and tech employment are increasing outside Silicon Valley.

Shackleton's lost Endurance ship found in Antarctic sea
(Falklands Maritime Heritage Trust / National Geographic)
The wreck of the steam-yacht Endurance, which famously sank in 1915 during an Antarctic expedition by the polar explorer Ernest Shackleton, has been rediscovered by searchers using autonomous underwater vehicles. The shipwreck was found at a depth of 9,869 feet beneath West Antarctica's Weddell Sea.
