Binance's US affiliate Binance.US has hired Jasmine Lee as its new chief financial officer (CFO) – an ex-PayPal executive with eight years at the company.
Lee, who previously held CFO and COO positions at the payments giant, will be replacing interim CFO Eric Segal, who has held the position since October 2021. She plans to build out a "best-in-class finance department" as Binance.US looks to develop the platform and IPO in the future.
Binance.US launched zero-fee trading for select trading pairs last month as it looks to capture a greater US market share.
Opera Crypto Browser has announced a partnership with decentralized finance (DeFi) platform Coin98, in an effort to improve accessibility with a focus in South East Asia.
The integration will enable users to more easily access NFTs, decentralized exchanges and cross-chain bridges, as well as participate in the wider DeFi ecosystem. The Opera Crypto Browser is a Web3-focused version of the original Opera browser, which has more than 340 million users around the globe.
The company behind the Aave protocol has submitted a proposal to its governance forum, testing the waters for a new stablecoin called GHO.
The stablecoin would be over-collateralized, being minted by supplying assets to the Aave protocol. The assets would continue to generate yield while being used as collateral for GHO.
