Seit seinem Solo-Debut in der Carnegie Recital Hall im Jahre 1996 führten ihn Konzertreisen als Solist und Kammermusiker in viele Städte Europas, der USA und Lateinamerikas. Durch seine intensive Zusammenarbeit mit Komponisten unserer Zeit entstanden zahlreiche neue Werke für die Gitarre, die er auf bedeutenden Festivals uraufgeführt hat. Er arbeitet immer wieder mit renommierten Musikern aus den Bereichen Klassik und improvisierter Musik zusammen, wie beispielsweise mit Giora Feidmann, Markus Stockhausen oder im Duo mit dem Tenor der Metropolitan Opera Anthony Dean. Johannes Tonio Kreusch hat zahlreiche erfolgreiche CDs und Rundfunkaufnahmen produziert. Für seine Einspielungen und künstlerische Arbeit wurde er mit zahlreichen Preisen ausgezeichnet. So kürte die französische Musikzeitung Classica-Répertoire seine CD-Einspielung der Villa-Lobos Etüden zur besten Klassik-CD des Monats und bezeichnete sie als âneue Referenzaufnahme seit den legendären Aufnahmen von Narciso Yepes und Julian Breamâ. Johannes Tonio Kreusch unterrichtet an der Universität in München und gibt Seminare und Meisterkurse im In- und Ausland. |
