Jewellery We've had a restock from some of our favourite jewellers recently, including Brighton-based Sarah Packington who makes stylish, minimal acrylic pieces with flashes of black, blue, bright green, jade, orange and red. We are particularly partial to these acrylic earrings pictured above. We've also got new pieces from Annabet Wyndham and Gabriella Casemore, as well as a host of others superb craftspeople. Come and peruse our selection, in store or online, and treat yourself before the clock strikes midnight on Sunday and save 20%! Sketchbooks by the Sea This July, come and join experienced tutor Katie Sollohub for two days on Brighton Beach. With Katie to guide you, you'll fill a sketchbook, working directly between the beach and our newly refurbished historic fishing arch, just a stones throw from the shore. You will be experimenting with ink, pastels, drawing materials, mixed media and collage, and encouraged to play and let loose in long concertina sketchbooks, moving back and forth in them like the tide. Be inspired by the sea and the senses - wind and salt on your skin; the sound of waves, and people’s voices; the twisting flight of sea gulls; shifting pebbles underfoot. Thursday 25 - Friday 26th July, or 12th & 13th September. Book your place now! Get in before Sunday 7th July and save 20%! |

Onwards and upwards We write this newsletter in the foreshadow of the General Election. By the time you read it, we will know who will be forming our next government. We live in strange times and who know what's around the next corner, but we like this advice captured by Rob Ryan in his print above. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and stay on the side of the good guys! And, if you need a break from all the politiking and teeth knashing, we recommend a soothing trip to the seaside. We're here 11-5 seven days a week. Come say hi while you're here. |
