All Analytics
John, is your organization getting ready to implement AI, or do you already have projects in the works? What sorts of projects are good first ones to choose for AI? Do you have your data management house in order? Is your marketing department using behavioral profiles to target potential customers? And what about your career?

These are some of the questions AllAnalytics editors and community members have asked and answered in the first half of 2017.

This year has gone by so fast so far, you might have missed these blog posts, radio shows, and Academy sessions, but not to worry, we're rounding up some of the highlights here for you so you can catch up on what you may have missed.

Careers
Let's start by taking a look at analytics careers. A2 Radio welcomed recruitment firm Robert Half's John Reed, senior executive director for recruiting, to talk about the evolution of the data scientist role within organizations. It was once declared "the sexiest job." But has that changed? Get answers by listening to the show along with a broader discussion of analytics careers with a company that has inside knowledge on how firms recruit these in-demand professionals.

If you haven't achieved that "sexiest job" status, but are still just an aspiring analyst or data scientist, we have something to help you on your journey, too. Early in the year we compiled this short list of 5 Tips: How to Move Into An Analytics Career. Drawing from interviews and recommendations from experts in the field, we compiled this quick list of resources and tactics to help you get started.

Finally, how about a careers use case from someone you know who transitioned to an analytics career after pursuing another career first? Our own blogger Pierre DeBois put together a blog about his career journey, moving from an engineering career in the auto industry into building a consulting firm for analytics. It's a great story that you won't want to miss, so check it out here.

Meanwhile, while I was looking at our careers coverage, I dusted off this one from our archive. Should you get an MBA for your career growth? Here's why you may want to reconsider spending money on that particular degree if you are pursuing an analytics career.

Data Management
If your data isn't any good, then your analytics will suffer. It's a major pain point. That's why data management is so important, and probably why it ranked first on our community members' list of priorities for 2017.

Maybe this is your top priority for 2017, too. If so, we have several resources to help.

Andrew Wells and Kathy Chiang addressed the problem of data silos when developing and distributing analytics information so that those insights can be actionable for organizations. You can listen to their take on how to tackle this issue here.

We also welcomed InfoAdvisors consultant Karen Lopez to AllAnalytics radio earlier this year to talk about her deep experience in the field with data management. Donna Burbank of Global Data Strategy joined us as well to talk about data quality and data governance, and how this practice is gaining respect as organizations are putting data at the center of what they do.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
We just wrapped up the most recent edition of A2 Academy, featuring five sessions presented by speakers from Accenture, CapGemini, McKinsey, and PwC, on blockbuster topics around artificial intelligence and machine learning. Whether you have yet to start on your AI effort, or you have it well underway, this series offers important perspectives from experts who have their fingers on the pulse of this emerging area.

The series led off with a look at real-world use cases for AI, followed by an examination of how to identify AI opportunities inside your organization. Then we took a look at AI through the Consumer's Eyes, and delved into how IT can help organizations harness the AI revolution. We wound up the series with a look at the ethical and moral dilemmas that will shape our future with AI. All of these sessions are available for you to view on-demand.

Behavioral Profiling for Marketing and Politics
We also had the privilege of welcoming psychologist and data scientist Michal Kosinski to A2 Radio earlier this year. If his name sounds familiar it's probably because you read about him in articles about how the Trump presidential campaign used behavior analytics or psycho-demographic analytics to profile voters and target the most effective messages to them based on their profiles. Just in case you missed this show you should make a point of going back to listen. This practice will likely impact marketing analytics for years to come.
