Background: This forum brings together the Central Asia, Caspian and Black Sea strategic regions to form a viable trade and transit corridor between Europe and East & South-East Asia. Connecting trade, people and economies, the modern Trans-Caspian corridor has extensive and integrated network of infrastructure, special economic zones, harmonized customs and cross-border procedures along the route.
The forum, initiated in partnership with Central Asia and Caucasus Institute under American Foreign Policy Council, will take place at the George Washington University on June 26, followed by a policy discussion at the U.S. Congress and roundtable meeting at the World Bank on June 27. The first day of the forum will be open to wider public, including academic, think-tank, policy, business communities and government officials.
