If you’re an advertising or marketing professional age 30 and under, register with a partner to compete in the Canadian Young Lions Competition. Over the weekend of March 3-5, 2018, you’ll need to bring your A-game in your registered category and show us your best ideas for your chance to win a trip to Cannes, France, where you’ll represent Canada on the world stage at the global Cannes Young Lions Competition. Register NowOFFICIAL FESTIVAL REPRESENTATIVE CANADIAN PROGRAM PARTNERS YOUNG MARKETERS COMPETITION PARTNER * The 2018 Young Lions Competition (“Young Lions) are sponsored by The Globe and Mail Inc. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. EST on January 15, 2018 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on February 23, 2018 and submission entry deadlines are as early as 9:00 a.m. EST on March 4, 2018. Open to Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada who have paid a non-refundable CAD$75 Registration Fee, who at the time of entry are at least the legal age of majority in their province or territory of residence and are not older than 30 years of age prior to June 22, 2018, are able to travel (e.g. hold valid passport) and available to attend and compete at the 2018 Cannes International Festival of Creativity in Cannes, France on June 18, 2018 – June 22, 2018 (the “Festival”). Further, to enter Young Lions you must be a professional employed by or freelancing for a creative communications, advertising, or digital agency for the Digital, Print and Film Categories; or employed by or freelancing for: (A) a media agency; or (B) specific in-house media department in an agency, for the Media Category. Further, to enter Marketers you must be a professional employed (i.e. not freelance) in the marketing department of a company that engages the services of a creative communications, advertising, or digital agency. Any competition entries must meet the requirements set out in the rules and be submitted prior to the applicable entry deadline. Additional eligibility and entry requirements may apply, including the signing of a release. If you register on behalf of your team, your registration form must specify your second team member. Limit of two members per team. You may only be a member of one team. Limit of one competition entry per team. One Finalist per Category in Young Lions and will be announced as the winning team at the CMDC Conference on April 24, 2018. The prize for each winning team consists of: (a) round-trip economy airfare for the two members of the team from the major airport closest to each such team member’s residence to Nice, France, including return airport transfers; (b) at least seven nights’ accommodation in a shared double-occupancy standard room, in Cannes, France during the Festival; (c) two full-week registration passes to attend the Festival; and (d) registration and participation in the 2018 Global Young Lions Competition (as applicable) to represent Canada at the Festival (the “Prize”). Approximate retail value of the Prize is CAD$7,500 dollars based on a Toronto departure. Odds of winning the Prize depend on the number of teams registered in Young Lions per Category and the number and quality of entries submitted respectively.
