The Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists (ACDIS) is proud to sponsor the eighth annual Clinical Documentation Improvement Week. This week is a time to recognize CDI specialists for the critical role they perform within the healthcare industry. CDI is a diverse field, involving multiple disciplines both directly in a CDI professional role and indirectly through interdepartmental collaboration. That’s what the 2018 CDI Week theme is all about—“CDI Mosaic: Creating a Collaborative Portrait.” This year’s Industry Overview Survey bore out that theme in data as well, showing more expansion, more collaboration, and more diversity than in years past.
