| Don't be fooled. Even though it might "feel" like the world is settling back down... Like we're returning to some level of normalcy... Like this whole virus and pandemic will soon blow over and we'll all go back to our normal cushy lives... ... The real pandemic hasn't even started. Each week I talk to over 371 entrepreneurs from over 45 countries around the world... And while individual client success stories are coming in faster than ever... There’s a dark shadow on the horizon. So in remembering "The Stockdale Paradox"... That you "Must never confuse faith that you will prevail in the end--which you cannot afford to lose--with the discipline to confront the brutal facts about your current reality, whatever they might be." ...Right now is the time to confront the BRUTAL facts. The COVID Pandemonium isn't going anywhere. My prediction is that it will be with us until April 2021--at least. For some industries it’s going to have dramatic effects until September 2021. Schools are not re-opening in America in September (and I wouldn’t bet on it for January). The flu season – typically beginning in late October – will provide local governments with all the ammunition they need to keep things closed and life in lockdown. And don’t get me started on the mayhem we’ll deal with around the American election... ... Or the economic upheaval that will occur if the experts are right about the devaluation of the American dollar (and the rise of a new reserve currency). Now is NOT the time to get comfortable and complacent or allow the short term improvements we're seeing to outweigh the very real long term implications of what's happening. Instead... prepare for the worst and keep asking the hard questions. - What can destroy your business?
- How long can you survive with your current lead flow?
- Are you prepared for a massive global economic shift (i.e. asset diversification and multiple streams of income)
- Are you the leader your team, community, and family needs you to be?
- Do you have the physical, mental, and emotional recovery routines in place to continue operating at the highest levels no matter how high the stress and pressure get?
... for another 12 months? Or 24 months? Or even (as some suggest) 5 years? I don't say any of this to scare you... ... But to PREPARE you. Because things will get worse before they get better. And whether they get as bad as some have predicted or not... We are in the middle of a major historic shift. The good news is... This has happened before and it will happen again (something I'll talk about in some of my later emails). And if you're prepared and disciplined, you can leverage this time to lay the foundations for your empire. But you can't do it alone. I know I certainly can't... That's why I've doubled down on coaching for the forseeable future... Why I'm hosting more events, asking for more help, and putting my EGO in a box that says "Do NOT open until 2022!" And I encourage you to do the same. Keep faith that you will prevail... ... But also keep sight of the brutal facts. And surround yourself with those wiser and smarter than you who can help you weather this storm and come out of it stronger and more profitable than you went in.
