But even through crisis and tragedy, our churches found ways to continue serving those around them. Throughout this year, our team has worked tirelessly on behalf of our churches to protect life, advocate for religious freedom, and advance the Gospel in the public square. We’ve prepared a recap for you to download that gives an overview of the ERLC’s work in 2020. DOWNLOAD THE ERLC 2020 RECAPHere are a few highlights: In March, our Washington team led a coalition of organizations to ensure that faith-based organizations like churches could access forgivable small business loans without risking infringement of their religious freedom.Beyond our nation’s capital, we have formed new coalitions and worked to resolve problems for churches and communities by working with federal officials, governors, mayors, public health experts, and other civic leaders. Our work has continued in the legal realm as we pressed forward to passionately defend the causes of life, human dignity, and religious liberty. Our ERLC brief was cited in the majority opinion by the Supreme Court of the United States, ruling in favor of the right of churches and religious organizations to hire staff consistent with their convictions. We are looking forward to continuing this important work in 2021. With your help, we can expand our work even further. We are blessed by the support of churches through the Cooperative Program of the SBC. Your individual donations will help us enhance our work to place ultrasound machines in pro-life pregnancy centers, advocate for religious liberty, and uphold human dignity here at home and across the globe. Thank you for standing with us!
