NATIONAL: On the heels of the "Immersive Van Gogh" experience's success, experiential art exhibit company Lighthouse Immersive will debut its new Frida Kahlo-centric activation in 2022. Kicking off in Dallas on Feb. 3 before traveling to Boston, Houston, Chicago, Denver, Toronto and Los Angeles throughout the spring, "Frida: Immersive Dream" will use state-of-the-art projectors and high-quality sound systems to immerse guests in the famed Mexican artist's work. Global event and trade show producer Clarion Events has partnered with Consero Group, a Maryland-based provider of invitation-only programs that specializes in intimate in-person and virtual events and boardroom-style roundtables for senior corporate executives. The new partnership will help fuel Clarion’s focus on meeting-based programs; it follows a previous partnership with Quartz Events that is focused on the one-to-one meeting business. LOS ANGELES: The Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC), owned by the City of Los Angeles and managed by ASM Global, has elevated its commitment to sustainability by joining JMIC’s Net Zero Carbon Events Initiative alongside more than 200 event industry organizations. The united pledge collectively represents and demonstrates the commitment of the event industry community to fight climate change and develop a roadmap for a net-zero carbon future for events. NEW YORK: Catering, event and hospitality company Great Performances has named Andrew Smith, the former executive chef of Riverpark, as its new culinary director. In his new role, Smith will oversee menu development for Great Performances’ catering, venue and corporate dining operations, research and development, and the production team and tastings. PALM BEACH, FLA: The 14th annual Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival runs from Dec. 9-12.
