Happy Hump Day!

Yesterday, I wrote in the Daily Travel Tip newsletter: "The weather isn't cooperating in parts of the U.S. In fact, United Airlines just issued a travel waiver for over a dozen Midwest cities, from Appleton, WI (ATW) to Traverse City, MI (TVC) for travel dates: December 13 - 16, 2022."

Well, guess what? United and other airlines have just issued another travel waiver for the east coast from Akron/Canton, OH (CAK) to White Plains, NY (HPN) for travel December 15-16. Hopefully you won't be impacted.

The snowstorms weren't going to impact our big east coast trips (CT/NYC/Toronto) this weekend but it looks like we're going to need to cancel as my wife and daughter are still dealing with lingering illnesses. It's a huge disappointment but what can you do? It's better to be safe than sorry.

On a happier note: I went to Costco yesterday to pick up a few things and noticed my favorite jarred pasta sauce was on sale so I bought a case. Here are the details.

In this issue:

✈️ Today's Travel Outlook

As of 1:31pm PT, there have been 127 canceled flights to/from or within the United States and 2,886 delayed. You can see the FAA's National Airspace System map above. Here's a link to the up-to-date stats and here's what to do during weather delays and flight cancellations.
