Greetings on this very busy conference week! I suspect that some of you are just returning from the COP27 summit in Egypt and many of you are onsite in Arizona for the Sustainable Agriculture Summit, which kicks off today.
Organized by host partners—and Trust In Food partners—Field to Market and the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy, the Sustainable Agriculture Summit anchors our professional community each year. At this year’s event, I’ll moderate several panel discussions with leaders cultivating partnerships with producers and across the value chain to advance climate-smart systems on working farms and ranches.
This year’s Sustainable Ag Summit theme, “Meeting the Moment: Strengthening U.S. Food and Agriculture’s Capacity to Drive Change,” captures the excitement and energy surrounding our collective investments toward a regenerative future. Although this is hard work, it’s also exceptionally rewarding, and the people we work alongside represent some of the brightest minds in our industry.
This week and throughout climate-smart events season (including our own Trust In Food Symposium - registration is now open!), I hope you’ll take a moment to celebrate the people, places and communities we have the privilege to know. Take five extra minutes to greet familiar faces and new ones, ask questions that give you a better idea of the great work that’s happening—and then share what you learn with your team, your organization and your professional community.
The only way we’ll meet this unique moment is by individually showing up with the vision, energy and commitment to excellence that defines the climate-smart community.
Let’s get learning.
Yours in regenerative ag, Amy Skoczlas Cole Executive Vice President, Trust In Food™
