Hi John, Happy New Year! I hope this finds you full of hope and excitement for the year ahead. Like you, perhaps, I've been thinking about my intentions and aspirations for the new year. This year my intention is to play around and have more fun with my art. In 2023, drowning in responsibilities and commitments, I embarked on a journey to streamline things, seeking efficiency in everything I did. This brought much-needed order and calm, and the change has been enormously positive. So glad I did it and happy to chat more about this if it's of interest. However, the pendulum swung so far in that direction that along the way I seemed to have lost a habit of making spontaneous and joyful art. This year, I'm setting out to balance the goodness of my new-found systems with more playfulness and experimentation by committing to intentionally making at least one thing each day. Whether it's a quick sketch, a collage, or something unexpected, the goal is to simply create. Would you like to join me on this journey of intentional creating. Let's make 2024 a year of fun, art, and growth. To kick things off, I've shared some thoughts and experiences on my blog.
