A blast of second-half deals has put JPMorgan’s equity capital markets team on top of the annual league tables for the first time in decades.

Street Talk has turned the pages back to 1980. Data shows that while the Wall Street bank has topped individual quarters, it’s the first time it’s ended the year at number one after failing to even rank in the top 10 in the first half of 2024.

In mergers and acquisitions, Nick Sims’ and Zac Fletcher’s Goldman Sachs is riding high, climbing to the top of the league table after advising data centre giant AirTrunk on the year’s biggest transaction.
