Aptos Labs, a layer 1 blockchain project headed by former Facebook and Meta employees, has raised $150 million in Series A funding. The round was led by FTX Ventures and Jump Crypto.
The Aptos team plans to bring back the Diem blockchain (originally known as Libra) back to life, in an attempt to create the “safest and most production-ready blockchain in the world.”
Crypto lending platform Voyager Digital has rejected an offer from FTX and Alameda Ventures to purchase its digital assets, saying it will potentially harm customers.
Voyager lawyers filed a letter rejecting the offer in court on Sunday, saying that it was filled with misleading or false claims and was nothing but a "low-ball bid dressed up as a white knight rescue."
Bitfinex and Tether has launched a new peer-to-peer (P2P) video calling app called "Keet", built on a new company and protocol called Holepunch.
The app will allow users to schedule audio and video calls, send text chat and share files for free – all on a new technology known as Distributed Holepunching Technology (DHT).
$10 million has been invested in the company to date, allocating up to $100 million more for future developments.
