By KELLY P. KISSEL A brutal attack outside a Waffle House off Siegen Lane left two people dead this morning. A photo from the scene showed a sedan with 23 bullet holes in the driver's side doors and windows. Twenty-three! The sheriff's office says the shooting occurred about 3 a.m. just off I-10's Siegen Lane exit in the southeastern part of the city. It's about two blocks from where a man was killed in a shooting at IHOP a few years back.
Two welders allege their supervisor groped and harassed them over the years, and at times caused them to burn themselves. The women have filed lawsuits in federal and state courts, saying the inappropriate behavior began in 2020. The company says it has a clear anti-harassment policy.
