Waste Services over ANZAC Day long weekend

Henderson Waste Recovery Park will be closed to the general public all weekend, including the ANZAC Day public holiday on Monday, 27 April. It will however, remain accessible to commercial trucks. Bin collections will take place on Monday, 27 April as per the normal schedule.

ANZAC Day #DrivewayDawnService

As most ANZAC Day ceremonies are not being held this year, we encourage you to commemorate our fallen soldiers in your own way, or light a candle and join the RSLWA ANZAC Day driveway Dawn Service at 5.55am, Monday April 25. Tune-in to ABC Radio for the dawn commemoration that will include The Ode, The Last Post and one-minute’s #DrivewayDawnService.

You could also fire up the family barbecue or cook a traditional gunfire breakfast of bacon, eggs and sausages … plus brew a mug of  tea or coffee to toast the fallen. Read Mayor Logan K. Howlett JP's ANZAC Day address to the community here. #LestWeForget

Wellness boxes for sale at CBSLC
With training, competitions and the gym closed due to COVID-19, the Coogee Beach Surf Life Saving Club has come up with innovative ways to keep some of their workforce employed, and keep connected to their members.

The club is packing and distributing Wellness Boxes which include fresh fruit and vegetables delivered direct to your door, with the ability to add on additional items such as fresh ready-made meals, milk and bread.

Club President Nick Neal said the initiative was in response to a 70 per cent drop in the clubs revenue from food and beverage operations, and the ban on functions during the pandemic. The club was keen to continue providing a service to their members and the community and the response so far has been fantastic!

How do I order a Wellness Box?
Customers must order before Tuesday 6pm each week, for contact-less delivery on Fridays after 12pm. Delivery is FREE for City of Cockburn residents for orders over $50. To order a box for next week, please click the order button below.
