2nd & Charles to open in Lafayette

Welcome back to another edition of Acadiana Business Today. Let's get cracking with some business news. 

A national book chain will open in the former Sears Home & Life store in Lafayette. 2nd & Charles, the sister store of Books-A-Million, announced on its website it will open in the space at 4405 Ambassador Caffery Parkway in the River Marketplace shopping center. The store is expected to open by mid-year 2024.

2nd & Charles, which has four locations in Louisiana, opened a Baton Rouge location in January in the Acadian Village Shopping Center on Perkins Road.
