Three employees who returned to CNN offices despite not receiving the COVID-19 vaccine have been fired, and the company may switch from an honor system to requiring vaccination proof, CNN President Jeff Zucker said. Zucker informed staff of the terminations in a memo, stating, "Let me be clear -- we have a zero tolerance policy on this."
Companies can recruit and retain more women by using "communal" language in job postings and internal communication and by giving specific feedback in reviews instead of "agentic" language that conveys a sense of competition, according to experts. "When we use particular language for a particular group of people, and that language is different than the way that we talk about other groups of people, that reinforces the sorts of biases that are baked into that language," says consultant Alex Kapitan.
