Walkability is one of those terms you hear kicked around a bit. With the upcoming CivicCon series discussion later this month on the topic with a national expert on the topic as the guest speaker, I figured it was time for a deep dive. How is Lafayette doing in this department?

Downtown-wise? Pretty good. As a city? Not so much. Neither was suprising, but there are issues here that you're going to hear more about.

Like a road diet for Johnston Street near downtown. That's going to happen, Mayor-President Monique Boulet told me.
