Good morning, Marketer, how will your customers get to know you, and your brand, better?

Today, Gartner’s senior director, advisory Kristina LaRocca-Cerrone outlines three key levels at which marketers should be communicating with their customers and prospects. It’s worth a close read.

There is so much emphasis in digital marketing — on both the B2B and B2C sides — about customers taking the wheel and doing their own research online. That covers the “functional” level, where the brand steps up and communicates the value and functions of its products.

But there are two other levels of digital engagement where marketers can communicate deeper values so their customers will know them better. In a digital-first world, these deeper connections are essential.
