Singapore begins human trials for potential COVID-19 treatment
Twenty-three healthy individuals in Singapore have volunteered to be involved in a clinical safety trial for an antibody drug, TY027, that could hopefully be used as a form of treatment for patients with COVID-19. The drug is developed by Singapore-based biotechnology firm Tychan. If the trials prove successful, TY027 could also be used to provide temporary protection against infection by the coronavirus.
