Drought is impacting operations along the Panama Canal, one of the largest shipping channels in the world. Restrictions have now been placed on the number of ships as well as the amount of cargo they can carry.
Some of the research now underway at the facility is focused on improving germplasm performance, launching stacked, next-generation differentiated traits and demonstrating regenerative agriculture cropping systems.
“These tax credits, which encourage the use of more eco-friendly fuels, could make or break the prospects of corn ethanol as a sustainable aviation fuel," says Jim Wiesemeyer, ProFarmer policy analyst.
