Hello everybody, It has been a real mixed-bag of subjects unearthed this week for you to take a gander at. First up came the news that toy shop Toys R Us is making an online comeback in time for Christmas, which will no doubt delight children up and down the land. With that in mind we looked back on our very own Toys R U store in Preston and put together a gallery of pictures showing the life and times of this favoured shop. We then turned our mind to Preston North End - and more specifically past managers of the mighty whites. This week looked at managers in the 70s and 80s, and next week we look at managers from the 90s and beyond. How many of them do you remember? Taking a short break from the weekly delve into the decades for Preston and Blackpool, we still managed a peek into the 70s on the Fylde Coast. The next two subjects we looked at came about because both were sharing anniversaries. Lava and Ignite, had it still been standing today, would have celebrated 16 years of sticky dancefloors and warm beer. So we looked back at some of the best nights out at this much-loved nightclub. There's also some rare footage taken of the opening night of the club back in 2006. And finally Lancashire radio station Rock FM turned 40 this week. Hard to believe this radio station has been a mainstay in our everyday lives now for so long. To help celebrate we looked at some of the presenters and events that Rock FM has had over these 40 years. And with that interesting mix of picture galleries I bid you farewell. Until next time...
