Lace like no other

We are so excited to be hosting Adriana Torres this summer, as she stops by with her world-touring lace-making and embroidery workshops.

Adriana has spent years researching an ancient tradition of needlelace that uses knots to create intricate three-dimensional effects, and is reinterpreting the technique in her own inimitable way.

If you've got a little embroidery experience, you're invited to join her here at Atelier Beside the Sea in June and learn the stitches for yourself in a one day masterclass.

You'll leave with all the tips and tricks you need to create your own intricate illustrations using nothing more than needle and thread. Places are limited, so sign up now.

Absolute beginners can also learn from Adriana as she'll be teaching her own approach to creative mending.

Course participants are invited to get creative with a whole variety of stitches, yarn and fabric as they're lead on a playful game of make, do and mend.
