In a case involving the death of a child stemming from a viral Tiktok challenge, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit has ruled that the protections Section 230 offers does not extend to the company's video-suggestion algorithm. Aleeza Furman looks into the ruling and its impacts. Also, the state Supreme Court has agreed to consider whether online arbitration agreements tucked away inside hyperlinks should face an elevated standard for enforcement.
