Good morning, Marketer, and are you voting with your feet?
When it comes to digital polls, you can vote online or you can vote with your feet. The latter is what I’m finding myself doing when it comes to in-person events. The most recent edition of our Event Participation Index showed marketers split fairly evenly when it came to the likelihood of returning to in-person events before year end.
As a journalist, I seem to be in the “extremely likely” category as we storm into Q4. I went to an event in Boston last month, an event in San Diego last week and I’m now booking a third event before month end. I can imagine one or maybe two more before we slow down for the holidays.
Last week’s event saw much mingling and minimal masking, although I would hazard that a cohort of tech-savvy marketers are highly likely to be vaccinated. Fingers crossed.
